Robert Adam Furniture – About
When his parents named him Robert Adam, it seemed that Rob was destined to work in furniture design.
Straight from school he started his apprenticeship with Worcester Furniture making oak and ash reproduction furniture, ranging from lounge furniture to bedroom furniture, including four poster beds, to kitchens, office furniture, polishing and wood machining. Alongside his apprenticeship Rob studied for, and passed with distinction, his City & Guilds in carpentry and joinery and wood machining.
From there Rob worked for various companies, working his way up to workshop foreman, all the while increasing his knowledge, skills and experience.
In 2001, after being made redundant, Rob took the leap to set up his own business and Robert Adam Furniture was born. More than 20 years later, he hasn’t looked back.
